Functions
The Civil&Building Field Engineer, reporting to the Field Project Engineer, is responsible for the resolution of all technical activities related to civil and building works along the ROW and at the wellpads during the construction and commissioning activities on site, with particular attention being paid to HSE at all times.
Predominantly based in the field, the Civil & Building Field Engineer needs to liaise closely with the Construction Contractor and identify areas where further clarification to the existing engineering design is required. Such matters should be brought to the immediate attention of the Design Authorship Supervisor who will investigate the issue and decide on the appropriate remedial action required in conjunction with Company Specialists where required. • Coordinate and supervise Civil and Building works studies for the scope described above;
• Check that Construction is performed in conjunction with the design intent and the Statement of Requirements;
• Ensure coordination of Civil and Building activities with other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design;
• Control and comment the documents issued by contractor(s) and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules and Russian standards and practices. Preparation, review and answer of the Technical Queries Requests for the disciplines of pipeline and civil;
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings as required to achieve the performance of the work;
• Relay to the Design Authorship team on site any deviations from the design that have been implemented in the field and ensure that the correct paperwork for such deviations is in place to rectify the situation or accept the current installation;
• Update and reissue technical design documentation prior to construction activities should corrections to the design be required;
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities;
• Liaise with the operating team to collect necessary data for the project;
• Provide input to the Field Project Engineer for Project progress reporting (data, narrative …), outlines critical problems and proposes corrective actions;
• Follow up and verify all documentations proposed by the Contractor are in lien with project expectations and requirements;
• Ensure that all activities supervised are performed with the proper degree of safety and environment protection;
• Issue in due time Daily report and assist site management in the issuance of the weekly, monthly, final reports, etc. Requirements • Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in civil and building engineering and construction for the oil industry of which 5 spent in a lead Civil/Building site engineering position;
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCad;
• Fluent in Russian, with a good level of English (speaking and writing);
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
