International O&G Company is looking for
Safety Methods Engineer OBJECTIVES
Ensure that HSE Management System is fully implemented and updated.
Provide Safety support to project teams.
Ensure that HSE training of personnel is done as per established Company procedures.
ACTIVITIES
1. Get involved with detailed safety engineering studies for the projects.
2. Provide technical support to the personnel involved.
3. If required, monitor the safety evaluation of each proposed modification.
4. Assist the Site in identifying needs for risk assessment and hazard analysis and conducting those assessment and analyses and propose risk reduction measures and implementation plan. Follow up concerned parties on the implementation.
5. Participate in the safety and operability audits, hazard and operability studies, and project technical reviews and ensure that any agreed recommendation is monitored, followed up and assessed.
6. Assist the team in updating HSE Management System and any similar corporate type documents.
7. Follow the company’s HSE policy and RF regulations in all work under his responsibility.
8. Conduct/participate in any HSE related inspection; investigation; analysis of cause and consequence (Cause Tree Analysis) of accidents, near misses or work related diseases; and audit of either the Company or contractors. Ensure that proposed remedial actions or recommendations are implemented and followed up.
9. Ensure that HSE trainings for personnel are properly and timely conducted as per Company training matrix.
10. Provide HSE training and awareness session to personnel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years experience of safety supervision at an operational site.
Experience in safety engineering techniques (HAZOP, HAZID, QRA).
Good knowledge of industry codes, standards, legislation on HSE.
Good communication skills.
Good command of spoken and written English.
