For the project in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia we are looking for qualified Well Engineer Operations.
Qualification requirements:
- Higher professional education in Engineering
- Additional training in Drilling Operations
- The minimal previous work experience under the speciality shall be 5-10 years Job Description:
HSE
- Comply with company policies and procedures as detailed in the Safety Management System, HSE Standards and all other HSE documentation.
- Participate fully in safety initiatives and meetings
- Promote a high degree of health, safety and environmental awareness of rig personnel.
- Ensure all HSE incidents and accidents are correctly reported.
- Identify HSE risks and hazard related to the activities.
- Elaborate risk reduction plans and ensure that the assessed risk matches the ALARP acceptance criteria.
- If required, participate in HSE audits, conformance/non conformance reporting.
- Prepare the necessary documentation to apply for dispensation from procedures should this be required by contingency reasons.
Management
- Safeguard the company assets and interests
- Manage the (sub) contractors to deliver high quality data for input in programs
- Adhere to company business principles
- Responsible for the development of the ODE by giving guidance, assistance and training .
Planning
- Support and review Well Proposals generation.
- Support risk and opportunities management through taking ownership of the responsibility of the risk registers as per well delivery process and taking it to closure.
- Prepare Drilling/Abandonment well programs in a timely and technically sound manner, complying with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the drilling program reflects/ is aligned with overall TD – TDW well objectives.
- Optimize well delivery using the rDTL process and capture all lessons using available tools such as After Action Reviews, Non Productive Time Reports, End of Well Reports.
- Identify and order materials and equipment required for program implementation on timely basis
- Ensure that detailed programs are duly authorized and shared/agreed upon with Contractors involved in the execution.
- Liaise with the Exploration/Reservoir Eng./Geology/Well Testing/ Completion/Work-over disciplines, whichever is involved/ concerned with the work scope.
- Prepare the AFE for the activities in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
- Prepare ‘Drilling the Well on Paper’ exercises and challenge sessions, inputting risks and learning to enhance the continuous improvement of the well operations.
- Attend Offshore pre-spud meetings.
Reporting
- Participate in and share best practices ensuring lateral learning across assets whilst continually adopting best practices from similar operations in the Russian Federation.
- Ensure the ODE compiles an End Of Well Report as the well progresses and close out report at the end of the well.
- Prepare reports and other documents in relation to the planning, implementing and monitoring of the activity progress.
- Capture lessons in AAR at the end of each hole section or whenever appropriate.
- Ensure that hand over notes, when necessary, are adequately prepared to allow for a smooth continuation of the operations.
- Monitor progress time and well costs and report on deviation from planned.
- Ensure all data is accurately recorded and communicated by the offshore team using the available reporting tools (EDM openwells) and correct templates.
- Responsible for the population and management of Well Files both electronic (EWF and Livelink) and paper copies to ensure that adequate and correct records of all operations are kept.
- Maintain surveys database on a daily basis and update with definitive surveys.
- Investigate unplanned events where required.

Position Location: Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk office
Work Pattern : Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
