The job holder manages, under of the responsibility of Special Points Superintendent (mainly in charge of civil, structural works), all construction activities related to pipelines or powerline pylons/towers erection with particular attention paid to HSE matters. This covers drilling, piling, structural foundations installation, erection of supports, lifting of structures, etc. During the project, the Job Holder has to: -Follow Up and Verify all documentations proposed by the Contractor.
-Ensure the storing and confidentiality of the documentation.
-Participate to the reception of equipment
-Ensures that all activities supervised are performed with the proper degree of safety and environment protection.
-Ensures that all activities supervised are performed in respect of Contract, purchase order, change order terms and conditions.
-Follow Up and Verify compliance with technical specifications, drawings and procedures.
-Manage construction (all) interfaces with others: contractors, operations etc ...
-Provide necessary input and participate in clarifications, negotiations etc ...
-Anticipate potential problems. Analyse and propose corrective actions.
-Make necessary arbitration between different disciplines, the only criteria being the benefit of the overall project.
-Supervise the preparation of the pre-commissioning and assist commissioning activities (organisation, procedures …).
-Promote the reporting of incidents and anomalies
-Issue in due time Daily report and assist his management for the issuance of the weekly, monthly, final report …)
-Participates in meeting related to the area of responsibility, and when is required to be present .
-Contribute to audits of Contractors or Sub-Contractors in co-operation with the QA/QC department.
-Liaise and support Vendor / Contractor representative for site survey and work visits.
-Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project. ACCOUNTABILITIES
-In charge to provide, to the Superintendent, a clear vision of the Project current status and its perspectives.
-Ensures that all activities supervised are performed with the proper degree of safety and environment protection, in respect of Contract, purchase order, change order terms and conditions. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Education/ Work experience in pipeline, civil works, structural works: high professional education (technical) with work experience not less than 5 years as pipeline supervisor.
- Good technical background should include design and equipment utilization in pipeline facilities.
- Competencies: communication, negotiation etc…
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
- Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
