Large international oil and gas company (our client) is looking for Civil Superintendent Earthworks and General
Large Project in the South of Russia (Novorossiysk)
General Description
Civil Superintendent Earthworks and General is responsible for the following scope of work:
• 2,000,000 cubic meters bulk earthworks cut / fill for tank pads, tank berms, roads and building sites preparation;
• Concrete structures for piping supports, valve vaults, cable ducts, drainage structures, etc.
Requirements:
• Minimum ten (10) years previous Construction project experience doing civil earthworks and concrete construction;
• Must have interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels;
• Must have experience working in an integrated team environment which is multi-cultural, multi-national, and includes accommodating language differences;
• Must have experience in managing EPC lump sum contracts;
• Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to utilize, review/analyze Contractor’s routine reporting of Construction progress and status, and also to support reporting of same to Company;
• Computer user skills in Microsoft Windows environment using Microsoft Applications; ability to utilize Project’s computerized communication, reporting, and document management systems.
Responsibilities:
• Position reports to Tank Farm Area Superintendent;
• Position to manage / supervise Contractor’s execution of all bulk earthworks excavation/fill for tank pad site prep, berms and roads, and all buildings and civil concrete works with exception of storage tank and lightning tower foundations;
• Review, advise and concur with Contractor’s work execution planning, releasing / initiating packages of work in keeping with schedule requirements and good construction management practice; drive completion of work packages/areas/systems in a timely manner;
• Ensure safety of Contractor’s work activities with regard to workers, and avoiding impacts to project progress, completed works and existing Operating facilities;
• Ensure constructed works conform to IFC design document and specifications;
• Ensure that quality of finished works and documentation thereof meet requirements of Russian Federation.
