Contract Engineer

Responsibilities
• In charge of the co-ordination and administration of the Contracts she/he is in charge of, incl. Engineering & Construction contracts (> 400mUSD), Purchase Orders, Service Contracts
• Responsible for preparation of pre-qualification packages, tender packages, contracts and purchase orders for management approval in standard terms and conditions format and layout
• Responsible for contract administration from pre-qualification to close-out
• Responsibility of the Contracts Leader and the concerned Package Managers, is in charge of contract preparation and administration from tenderers pre-qualification to close-out
• During the project, the Job Holder has to:
• Masterize the pre-Award process from pre-qualification to recommendation & award
• Masterize the contracts administration from award to close-out
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of contract administration
• Review of contractors and suppliers correspondence with respect to contractual impact. Prepare recommended responses.
• Be proactive towards the project team to identify risky situations and propose methods of improvement
• Provide close monitoring of activities on awarded contracts to prevent potential claims
• Evaluate change orders, claims and propose recommended answers to the contractors/suppliers
• Provide support to the project team on contractual matters
• Participate in auditing process as deemed necessary in collaboration with finance department
• Participate as required, in weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Monitor and report contract progress. Provide, to the Project Services Manager, all relevant information needed for Project reporting
Requirements
• High education
• Minimum of 5+ years of effective experience in Oil&Gas contract administration, inclusive of law, pricing, technical scoping, drafting, administrating, negotiating, planning and scheduling
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles governing all terms and conditions of contracts, Company contracts policies, and the Company industry as a whole
• Rigorous / Formal presentation skills / Excellent written and oral communication skills / Able to work in a multicultural environment
• Fluent English
