Have access to project Contracts documents and Cost Information.

Indicative Day Rate: Negotiable
Role Activities:
• Provide contracts administration support to individual Project Managers for Company’s major
offshore and onshore projects.
• Prepare/review terms and conditions for all types agreements
used in Client.
• Prepared proposed Contracts Variations for authorisation by
Project Manager and processing.
• Review and provide draft responses to incoming contractual letters and draft outgoing letters for
signature by Project Manager.
• Review and prepare Company position on sub-contractors claims, in liaison with the Project
Managers where appropriate.
• Assist in the preparation of Tenders liaising with tender manager.
• Assist in pre-award contract negotiations.
• Prepare contract claim documents for approval by project manager.
• Assist in Contract negotiations with the Clients at the end of the tendering process –
ensuring Client’s interests are adequately protected and all negotiations are comprehensive.
• Assist the Contract negotiations with the sub-Contractors selected at the end of tendering
process – ensuring Client’s interests are adequately protected and all negotiations are
comprehensive.
• Assist in the development of a comprehensive Contracts
Administration system for a company
• Assist in the preparation of pre-qualification proposals and bid
documents from sub-
contractors in conjunction with the Project Managers towards ensuring that these are done in
accordance with Corporate Contracting Procedures.
• Prepare standard forms of contract in accordance with corporate requirements liaising with
corporate general counsel.
• Maintenance Project Contracts files.
• Other ad hoc Contractors related duties as may be assigned by the Manager of Projects from
time to time.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree to be LL.B., BA, BSc, MSc or similar.
• Good working knowledge of legal interpretation of contracts, particularly project related
contracts with intricate liability an insurance regimes.
• 5 years of Contracts specialist
• 10 years for Sr. Contracts Specialist, in contract management in the oil and gas or process
industries.
• Preference for experience in Nigerian oil and gas offshore project environment.
• General knowledge of offshore practices.
• Knowledge of Corporate Management System(CMS).
• Excellent English language both written and spoken with strong presentation, communication
and negotiation skills.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills.
• A considerable amount of confidential information or data will be sighted by the incumbent
and confidential integrity is therefore essential.
