Big oil&gas company is looking for Head of Maintenance Planning in Qatar.
Key Result Areas:
Monitors health of control systems in his area of responsibility and proactive in identification of problems and failures based on trends, history, status etc. Ensures maintenance programs and routine activities for DCS, EDS, PLC, GE Speedtronics, CCC Anti Surge, ELICS, and other control systems are performed in accordance with procedures/instructions and as scheduled. Responds to plant trips, equipment failures & upsets, provides assistance for quick restoration to normalcy, gathers relevant data and submits reports for further inverstigation and remedy. Supports in resolution of plant problems identified through systems like alarm management, instrument asset management and control loop performance monitoring. Backs up control system software, ensures it’s integrity & stores in assigned safety locker and makes them & associated devices available for restoration in case of system crash. Identifies spare parts requirement & gathers specification details for MMT creation, does technical review andfollows up material delivery. Participates in acceptance tests of new and upgrade systems, identifies deficiencies and ensures all documentations are furnished. Provide on-job training to assigned Qatari Nationals and assists in development of training programs and performance evaluation. Reviews work notifications, manages work orders and participates in the planning and execution of major plant maintenance and shutdowns.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Completed secondary school education plus a three to five year technical diploma in Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical from a recog¬nised institution. This is a front line position in control system maintenance and in view of the requirement to handle different systems of varied complexities and impact on production, the incumbent shall have high level of hand-on experience with plant regulatory & shut down systems, understand complicated control documents, have good analytical ability to trouble shoot plant problems and ability to assimilate new tehnologies quickly. Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience with atleast 5 years in a responsible position independently handling critical control systems activities in a diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants in the following areas: Should have had hands-on experience with the following control systems, able to trouble shoot hardware & software failures, issues & problems with the following control systems & associated equipment and perform routine control system maintenance activities such as back ups & system health monitoring. Foxboro I/A DCS Foxboro ELICS with RSPs and RTUs TMR and Simplex PLCs – Triconex, Modicon, Siemens, Allen bradley HMIs – Cimplicity, Wonderware, CCC Trainview GE Speedtronics Mark V/Mark VI CCC Anti Surge Control Ethernet Networks and associated components. Shoud have very clear understanding of various regulatory control concepts such as feedback, feed forward, PID, cascade, ratio, override, spilit range, on-off, sequential emergency shutdown and signal bypasses. Should have very good hands-on and theortical knowledge of turbine, antisurge, boiler & furnace combustion & flame safe guard and boiler drum level. Should be able to independently trouble shoot hardware & software failures, issues and problems with above control systems and associated equipment. Should be able to clearly understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Complex Loop Drawings, Functional Logic Diagrams and C&E Matrix. Well versed with PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text and Functional Block, implementation of regulatory controls in PLC and ability to trouble shoot them.
