Responsibilities:
• Abilities, Duties and Responsibilities Implement/expedite repairs on failed rotating equipment and improve design of troublesome equipment (MOC Process).
• Ensures that all work is carried out in line with the relevant HSE Policies, Permit to Work System and that the Environmental Standards are being adhered to
• Analysis and preparation of weekly, monthly plans for preventive and corrective maintenance
• Regularly review critical spares holdings. Make sure of
• completeness BOM into CMMS, correct min-max settings
• Maintains a good relationship with OEMs to ensure smooth
• Integration of Services
• Support the Production Team (or if available OEMs) in
• troubleshooting operational rotating equipment problems using a systems approach
• Provide rotating equipment technical assurance support to Process Engineering, Project Engineering and other technical groups in the development and implementation of projects and plant revisions.
• Ensures Rotating Equipment is operated and maintained in line with COMPANIES' CMMS System. Develop and/or review Operating and Maintenance Procedures for Rotating Equipment within the Power Plant
• Conduct field performance tests on rotating equipment as needed
• in the course of resolving operational or efficiency issues
• Provide expertise to the plant on lubrication and overview the effectiveness of the lube oil analysis and lubrication recommendations programs
• Conduct and document Rotating Equipment Technical Assurance Audits as required and document activities in relevant system
• Contribute and where possible improve the spare part strategy for the Power Plant
• Install new/replacement rotating equipment including those requiring non-standard installation procedures. Makes necessary alignment adjustment to ensure correct operation
• Remove & dismantles equipment with maintenance problems in accordance with Instructions, Drawings and best Industry Practice; cleans & lubricate; repairs/replaces faulty components; reassembles units and checks for efficient operation. Performs preventive & breakdown maintenance jobs
• Ensures that all work is carried out in line with the relevant HSE Policies, Permit to Work System and that the Environmental Standards are being adhered to
• On request take Part in Meetings related to the Management of Change Process (MOC) for the GTPP
• Take Part in Root Cause Analysis studies as required
• Compile or receive detailed written Handover prior to; and completion of leave and/or field breaks
Requirements:
• English: intermediate
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years Rotating Equipment experience
• Hands on experience in the troubleshooting and repair of Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors,Turbines, Gears, Mechanical Seals & flush plans, ANSI / API Pumps
• Has experience of work under strict Permit to Work System
• Must be physically able to climb towers, stairs or scaffolds as needed to support field work activities.
• Is familiar and has worked under a strict Permit to Work System
•

• Work on a shift basis 28/28, Iraq, Badra (Project GPN Badra).
• International contract (usd).
