Responsibilities:
* Well execution planning and contract strategy development, and alternative well construction and completion and design as required for Select and Define Stage work associated with development of the license blocks.
* Drilling and completion input into reservoir modeling and development planning.
* Leadership on technical and commercial studies required to underpin development engineering options, and develop justifiable recommendations for optimal development.
* Formulate contracting strategies that deliver project objectives in terms of cost, quality and schedule; while remaining consistent with Company’s corporate oil field services strategy.
* Provide well costs, and as importantly, uncertainty analysis as input for project economic evaluation.
* Provide strategic input and wells cost estimating support for commercial / technical project evaluation, and evaluation of acquisition opportunities.
* Strong working interface with the Technology Groups, the Operations Team, RDI’s, and external contractors will be required to support delivery of the Gas Projects Department activity sets. Requirements:
* 15-20 years comprehensive oil and gas industry experience in drilling operations, well and completion design, planning and contract strategy development.
* Relevant Engineering degree.
* Experienced at providing technical direction and supervision of drilling discipline functions for major on-shore oil and gas filed development.
* Has the ability to develop, coordinate and control a project work plan, including scope, schedule and resources.
* Technical expert in well execution and planning, contract strategy development, and well and completion design. Strong familiarity with the subsurface disciplines and demonstrated ability to work closely with subsurface teams during options analysis work and reservoir modeling, providing international best practices drilling and completion input into these development planning activities.
* Demonstrated experience planning drilling and completion programs involving development of thin oil rims overlain by large gas caps. Experience developing heavy oil rim – gas cap projects is highly valued.
* Experience with international best practices associated with drilling and completion components of heavy oil development, overpressured gas field development, and exploration and appraisal drilling and testing programs.
* Fluency in either Russian or English.
* Strong familiarity with drilling and completion software toolkits.
