I am currently working in partnership with a global E+P Operating company with interests in Europe, Middle East, Caspian, South America and West Africa, with further exploratory activities in different regions. The company are market leaders in terms of operational efficiency and process safety techniques, consistently raising the bar for others to follow.
The company have set about on a regional growth plan within their Onshore Caspian operation, and as a result are looking for a Head of Drilling who is a strong leader, with excellent technical capabilities to head up their full drilling operation. Their operation in the region is due to undergo a huge expansion, which will see their production increased by over 400%.
As the Head of Drilling, you will be responsible for;
• Play a key role in the project team responsible for successful delivery of the ambitious growth plan.
• Ensuring all aspects of drilling activities, safety, budgetary control, planning and future tasks are defined clearly, and in keeping with company procedure.
• Efficient and safe delivery on set targets and quotas, within budget.
• Have a pivotal involvement within global well technology team, with an eye to continuously improving procedures and performance.
The successful candidate will have;
• An Engineering related Degree
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with in oil and gas industry, with extensive management experience, predominantly related to Drilling
• Fluent English essential and a basic understanding of Russian language
• An ability to communicate and manage across a multicultural team.
For the position, the company are offering an excellent basic salary, along with an expatriate package inclusive of housing, travel allowances and living expenses.
