Big oil & gas company is looking for Earth Science Technologist.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will directly support earthscience and engineering team members working with technical data and applications.
Data loading and Quality control (seismic 2-D, 3-D, maps, well logs data, and other geoscience and engineering information).
Minor data processing and conditioning of loaded data, maps, wells and seismic. Digitizing logs, maps and other geospatial information.
Database management of existing data bases, moving data from one database to another, working with Tech computing manager and Technical computing resources in EEME/ETC.
Requirements:
Knowledge of earthscience data is critical.
Ability to work with and transform cartographic information, and make geodetic calculations/transformations.
Needs to have a high degree of competency in at least two of four application platforms: Petrel, ArcGIS Openworks and Paradigm EPOS.
The candidate is expected to become proficient in all four, Key databases will include Paradigm PNS, Oracle Openworks R5000, Petrel file systems, ArcGIS.
