Electrical Field Engineer in a large oil & gas company Responsibilities:
• Manage all technical activities related to Electrical during the Detailed engineering phases, with particular attention paid to HSE matters
• Review and digest the detail Design
• Verify the deliverables to be produced to or by the Contractor(s) related to Electrical
• Coordinate and supervise Electrical studies for the Central Process Facilities, associated drilling Pads, Overhead lines and cables pulling
• Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the Statement of Requirements
• Ensure global consistency of the design
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities. Control and comment all Electrical documentation issued by contractor(s) related to engineering, procurement, project management, fabrication and tests, and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules. Review and answer to the Engineering Queries and Requests For Waiver
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work. Participate to internal and external interface meetings
• Participate to Technical Reviews/Audits (HAZID, HAZOP, PTR). Ensure follow-up and implementation of outcome
• Manage technical interfaces related to Electrical between EPC Contracts, LLI’s
• Verify that the Contractor(s) are administrating properly the Company Long Lead Items
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Provide input to the Field project Engineering for Electrical progress reporting, highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions
• Ensure and liaise with his field project engineer and design author ship
Requirements:
• Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the oil industry as Electrical Engineer (upstream)
• Fluent English (speaking and writing)
• Experience in AutoCad is a must
• Good knowledge of 3 D model software
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment
