This position is based in Russia. The Electrical Substation Project Engineer will be involved in a major Oil & Gas operator’s project.
Activities:
• Review and digest the pre-project studies, basis of design, scope of work, and contractual documents.
• Ensure that Company’s reference documents are understood and applied (directives, rules, specifications).
• Monitor Contractor: Review progress, analyse delays and implement corrective actions to respect targets, control and comment documentation issued by contractor(s) related to engineering, procurement, Project management, fabrication and tests, and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules. Review and answer to the Technical Queries and follow of waiver requests.
• Ensure Contractor Procurement activities are fulfilled in accordance with the Contract
• Follow QA/QC issues with the support of QA/QC dedicated team
• Ensure all interfaces with other vendors and rest of the Pad are solved
• Follow fabrication at the different location of items manufacturing and modules fabrication
• Ensure optimisation of design in terms of costs, quality and delays related to the Project expected achievements.
• Produce technical assignments for new call for tender preparation as well as Technical evaluation, recommendation to Award for any purchase or works execution contract.
• Provide support to Construction and Commissioning team during modules installation
• Call for and participate to any necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work. Participate to internal and external interface meetings.
• Liaise with company team specialists for all these purposes
• Liaise with site operating team to collect necessary data for the project.
• Participate to site visits as necessary.
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings.
• Provide to the Package Manager and Lead Engineer/Project Engineer, all relevant information needed for Project reporting, highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions.
• Promote company HSE Rules to Contractors

• Resident, with business trips
Qualifications and Experience required:
• Graduate engineer with work experience not less than 5 years 5 years mainly in engineering and if possible as well in construction for the oil and gas industry including experiences in several disciplines or coordination of these disciplines.
• Good technical background should include design and equipment utilization in piping facilities
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
• Fluent Russian is mandatory.
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
