Environment Protection Engineer

The main responsibility is to develop and manage environmental programs including all facets of air, water, waste management and spill response, during the course of Project.
Responsibilities:
• Follow up the changes in the Environmental National Regulation and insure its implementation in the Project activities
• Follow up, and insure the correct implementation of the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements
• Supervise the activities, for Environment compliance, of assigned personnel on the site.
• Perform regular internal audit of construction sites for consistency to internal environmental rules and RF regulation; support and, if required, participate in the visits or inspections by RF environmental authorities
• Ensure and validate consistency of Environmental reporting: Internal Phase reporting (daily/weekly activities, statistic reporting, anomaly/incident reporting, etc.), control of Contractors’ Environmental reporting to HSE Department
• Take part as necessary in HSE meetings at Project management level and on sites
• Participate in Environmental awareness and Environment protection communication actions
• Conduct environment awareness and training programs for contractors and all personnel included in construction activities at the required level
• Organize, and assist environmental monitoring or sampling campaigns on construction sites.
• Ensure implementation of Environmental Plans, Programs, and Procedures
Requirements:
• The job holder must possess a BSc in engineering or equivalent geo-environmental engineering, with a minimum of 3/5 years experience in Environmental Protection within or in close liaison with oil and gas industry
• Familiar with local and environmental regulation
• Good knowledge of English
