Position
Environment Protection Engineer
Function
Environmental Management System implementation and support
• Responsible for the certification of the affiliate as per ISO 14001.
• In charge to assist Phase 3 project and its contractors in the implementation of HSE practices as per Environmental referential.
• In charge to support the new developments in the implementation of environment processes as per TEPR / DGEP company rules.
• Establish and disseminate, with the Head Quarter support, the Environmental procedures to incorporate the latest requirements (Legal/Corporate) and the Best Environmental Practices.
Environmental Risks Assessment and Monitoring
• In charge of creating / reviewing the Environmental part of CORISK grid for any new development
• Custodian of the Environmental monitoring and industrial environmental control
• Ensures that Base Line studies and EIA are conducted prior to any new activities
Wastes Management
• Ensures that maximum possible kinds of wastes, including contractors’ ones, are being utilized by certified contractors
Compliance to RF Environmental legislation
• Custodian of plans, needed for Authorities approval: Air Emission, Waste Generation, Oil Spill Response, Water Discharges
• Participation and assistance in Environmental audits from National Control Bodies, and follow up of the implementation of the recommendations.
Requirements
• The job holder must possess a BSc in engineering or equivalent geo-environmental engineering, with a minimum of 3/5 years experience in Environmental Protection within or in close liaison with oil and gas industry
• Familiar with local and environmental regulation.
• Good knowledge of English (necessary) and French welcome.
