Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for providing technical and Engineering advise to support all sites with activities such:
• Onshore impact monitoring, including
• Onshore impact monitoring programmes
• Onshore impact monitoring reports
• Air emissions monitoring & sampling
• Water discharges monitoring & sampling
• Ground water monitoring & sampling
• Soil monitoring & sampling
• Solid waste management When required, support to:
• Compliance monitoring, including
• Compliance monitoring programmes
• Compliance monitoring reports
• Air emissions monitoring & sampling
• Water discharges monitoring & sampling
• Ground water monitoring & sampling
• Solid waste management
• Environmental statutory reporting, including
• Reporting to environmental authorities
• Reporting to statistical authorities
• Reporting to financial environmental authorities
• Assistance to Head of Environmental Engineering on running the performance monitoring database (e.g. Promasys)
• Environmental Auditing
• Input to Environmental Impact Assessments and Technical Project Documentation
• Input to Construction Project documentation
• Input to public hearings and events
• Liaison with Emergency response team with respect to Oil spill response issues
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have :
• BSc in an Engineering or Scientific discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Geographical etc.)
• 7 years experience working on Environmental Engineering related activities
• Solid technical experience/interest in waste management and environmental monitoring
• The job holder will be required to complete ROK Safety Knowledge Assessment (SKA Blue Book) within one month of taking up the position
Advantageous Qualifications/Experience
• Knowledge of licensing and permitting procedures within the RoK
• Knowledge of the Russian and English Language.
