EXPEDITING / INSPECTION SPECIALIST
Functionally reporting to: DEPUTY PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR
Hierarchically reporting to: MADELIX Procurement Director
Minimum of 2 years’ experience on a similar position.
Strong communication skills / Rigorous / Good communication skills
Bachelor degree in Engineering.
Intermediate level in English.
Minimum knowledge of computer and common business software
responsible for the Expediting phases of Procurement, up to the Final Testing of goods for the project
Confirm the critical path and problems of the latest schedule for each Purchase Order by monitoring delivery dates and fabrication progress status, including status of supplier's prints and material sub-ordering and construction requirements.
Request the supplier to concentrate every effort on the critical points or to find solutions to the problems.
Cooperate with, or propose ideas to, the supplier in case it is foreseen that the supplier cannot resolve the critical or problematic points by himself.
Expedite the delivery schedule with suppliers considering the actual construction progress.
Agree with Project Manager for any corrective actions in order to maintain delivery dates if any potential problems will have an impact on delivery date.
Coordinate with the Discipline Engineers to resolve outstanding technical matters which may jeopardize supplier activities.
Establish schedules for repair or re-fabrication and delivery dates with the suppliers in case of non-conformance.
Where a delivery delay is reported, take corrective action with the freight forwarder and supplier to improve delayed delivery dates as soon as possible.
