Summary: Plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Field Service Representative (FSR) should have a good working knowledge of Compression Systems products in all service disciplines where practicable. FSR will provide installation, startup/commissioning, overhaul, maintenance and troubleshooting services of these equipments and also recommendations to customers concerning our products and services.
Provide practical training to the customer representatives in the operation and maintenance of the equipment at jobsites.
Partner and liaison with the Service Administrator in all aspects of the assignment including completing weekly timesheets for all periods and accompanied by a weekly site report of activities during the assignment.
Provide excellent service and cooperation with customers and subcontractors during the assignment.
Complete any related internal procedures so designated by the Manager in the performance of the assignments.
Observe and follow all Health, Safety & Environmental rules and customer working hours while at job sites.
The assignments will require extended periods away from the Field Service Representative’s home, together with extensive travel depending on the location of the equipment installation.
The duration of such assignments are dependent upon contractual conditions with customers and the Field Service Representative's schedule will be determined upon such conditions.
The position requires extended periods of travel away from home up to 95% of the time. Candidate will be required to be available after hours for emergency callout.
The Field Service Representative shall be able and willing to receive training in all disciplines required by the Company.
Must possess a valid international passport with no travel restrictions.
Must complete a yearly medical examination as required by the Company.
Qualifications:
Mechanical apprenticeship and/or mechanical technician/engineer work experience with reciprocating engines/compressors.
Experience working in hardship/remote areas and oil/gas/petrochemical sites.
Basic computer knowledge in order to utilize the Cameron Compression Systems - Training Database (CC-Trainer) internet software as well as Microsoft Word to complete Field Service Reports.
Ability to work effectively independently, self motivated, dependable, resourceful, able to complete assignments and organize work on their own.
Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external costumers.
Proficiency speaking and writing in Russian and English.
Education/Experience:
6+ years experience in diesel or 2- or 4-cycle gas engine installation, maintenance, repair, and 2-yr technical degree (mechanical or electrical) preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; extreme heat (non-weather); risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and extreme cold (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
