Job Purpose: The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordination of the full long-term plan to in-year performance cycle, support of planning processes and delivery of business insights resulting from Business analysis and presentation of high quality Management Information.
Job Dimensions:
The role has broad exposure within Company’s Russia business across multiple disciplines and organizational levels, and will liaise with Company’s central planning team. The successful applicant will have demonstrated analytical skills (including Oil & Gas sector) and the ability to manage competing demands in limited time scales.
Accountabilities:
•Coordinate planning and in-year performance processes.
•Lead the consolidation & interrogation of financial and operating data, developing management insights.
•Custodian of management information reporting systems.
•Provide analytical support within the PPM team on a range of issues.
Person Specification
Experience:
•Excellent analytical skills;
•Experience working with complex Excel workbooks and financial tools;
•Excellent understanding of financial concepts and working knowledge of financial accounting practices;
•At least 2-3 years of working in a performance management and/or financial reporting role;
•Direct experience working within an Exploration and Production business is required;
Education / Certifications:
•University undergraduate business degree or equivalent is required.
•Postgraduate education would be beneficial but not essential.
