Position
Financial Analyst for Non-Operated Assets
Function
• Perform continuous analysis of the information reported by joint ventures operated by a third party in which the Group participates as a partner (non-operated assets), mainly in area of Finance;
• Contribute to the timely and accurate reporting of the financial position of non-operated assets to Russian Finance Division, in order to meet Group finance reporting requirements;
• Assist as required on business development activities;
• Assist the Finance Coordinator of Non-Operated assets;
• Follow-up of the content and schedule of the information received from and provided to the Group joint ventures and its timely distribution to the parties concerned;
• Prepare an in-house critical analysis of information;
• Provide finance-related professional advice: International (IFRS) and Russian (RAS) accounting, Russian taxation, VAT issues, reporting to and from joint ventures, etc.;
• Prepare positions to be defended and interventions in Finance related committees of joint ventures, in particular in relation to financial statements, budgets, monthly management reports, review of policies and procedures, etc.;
• Follow-up and reporting on operator’s compliance with his contractual obligations towards the Administration and the Group, application by the operator of decisions taken and formalized in Finance related committees;
• Monitor various invoicing in respect of the agreements with joint ventures and coordinate Group compliance with agreements obligations (notices, audit, etc);
• Prepare and manage the various audits;
• Provide Russian Division with information collected from joint ventures in order to accurately and timely provide Head office with all various Group reportings (management reporting, quarterly consolidated accounts, budgets and closure forecasts, long term plans, etc);
• Complex and uncertain Russian taxation legislation and accounting norms with impacts potentially threatening economic viability;
• Very challenging Russian business environment;
• Position exposed to and dependent on international multi-cultural interpersonal relationships;
Requirements
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics;
• Professional experience 5 years in Finance;
• Preferable experience in Oil&Gas, working knowledge of Russian accounting standards and IFRS, ACCA certification;
• Knowledge of financial functions, interfaces with other functions (Legal, HR, Contracts and Procurement, etc.);
• Analysis/Synthesis skills;
• Communication skills;
• Open-minded;
• Self-organised, cross functional behaviour in dealing with various services and functions;
• Fluent English, native Russian, French is a plus.
