JOB FUNCTION: The Incumbent TSSR is accountable for providing the technical service provision to Korean Accounts. An Automotive OEM Manufacturer where PPG is supplying both service and products. Technical support to other automotive and industrial customers will be required on some occasions. The responsibilities of the incumbent will be to maximize the profitable operation of sales by means of effective service activity, operating within PPG policy, and support PPG business development activity at HMMR and provide technical advice and service support for any new projects, products and technologies. While Maintain competitive intelligence support for the Sales & Marketing activity with PPG. The incumbent must respond immediately to the customer when issues relating to product & process are identified, engaging in problem solving & trouble shooting, and involvement of external support if required. Work to optimize the performance and appearance of all on line products. Solve line and application problems in a professional manner. Ensure a strong communication network exists between all PPG departments (Market manager, Sales, TSR’s & Lab personnel) and the on site PPG and customer teams, Issue weekly reports to customer and all labs and management to agreed schedule and provide customer services with production forecasts and usage information. Attend daily production meetings weekly supplier meetings with Process manager and attend meetings with other customer depts as necessary. Keep well documented data & records of all activities performed on behalf of PPG (process control, TSR reports, plant audits etc) and promote and enforce safe working practices and compliance with PPG EH&S policies. Daily on site at customers plant. Support to other accounts where necessary Timely solving of customers problems/issues. Successful completion of projects to agreed timescales and meeting agreed goals. Completion of all reports on time. REQUIREMENTS: The position requires either a technical degree or equivalent experience of 3 to 5 years in automotive/chemical industry. The ability to develop and promote teamwork is essential. Good communication skills are required for liaison with customer and PPG personnel at all levels. A good understanding of PPG‘s Policies and Procedures are necessary attributes. Manage complex customer / projects through the use of timing plans using milestones as KPIs to measure project success. Develop strong working relationships with existing / potential customers. Good understanding of sealers/coatings technology, PPG product portfolio, customer specifications and environmental legislation. Mainly liquid products & application processes. Some knowledge of e-coat products and processes is an advantage. Korean speaker with good written and verbal English and/or Russian is essential.
