Large international oil and gas company is looking for Engineer – Civil / Geotechnical Specialist
The Engineer – Civil / Geotechnical Specialist will be responsible to provide technical input for all technical aspects of the onshore marine terminal site preparation works - working collaboratively with other members of the Project
The site preparation scope calls for construction of:
• Earthwork with leveling operations;
• Individual dikes for the storage tanks;
• Grading with rock excavation:
• Fill construction;
• Construction of access roads;
• Buildings and other Intra-facility sites.
Key functions include:
• Experience with design and review of major earthwork excavations, concrete oil storage API-650 tanks foundations, building foundations, sheet piling, rain water manhole foundations, paving, sewer system.
• Provide civil engineering technical support to construction team in preparing work scope packages. Provide technical oversight of geotechnical inspection services and contracts.
• Design review and prepared engineering comments on construction contractor’s designs, plans, drawings, specifications, and cost/schedule estimates. Lead design reviews, risk assessments
• Timely delivered civil engineering design field requests. Respond to daily work RFI (request for information). Recommend field changes on construction work and worked with field staff and contractors to prepare proper documentation for supporting change orders.
• Ensure civil design compliant with project strategies with project planning, environmental risk, safety and quality.
• Advise on procurement, manufacture, assembly, construction techniques, and sequencing of works as appropriate.
• Verify contractors site work is in compliance with design documentation
Position will be based in Novorossiysk, Russia Federation. Some travel to other locations is required.

Job Qualifications:
• Min ten (10) years previous earthwork construction experience involving significant (>1 million m3). Familiar with API, GOST and sNip standards.
• Road work experience
• Tank foundation experience
• Must have a methodical and well organized approach to the work environment
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels
• Must have experience with working in an integrated team environment
• Must be able to deal with short time frames and handle multiple competing priorities
• Must be able to conceptualize processes and systems to meet project needs and effectively implement same.
