The Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Drill Team, including composing, preparing and/ or distributing electronic documents and correspondence, extracting and compiling information, analyzing data, preparing charts, presentations, etc. This position reports to the Engineering Supervisor, and works directly with Drill Team Management, Engineering, Operations and the Administrative staff.
Basic Requirements 5+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Exceptional organizational and documentation skills, and the ability to rapidly extract, organize, correct, analyzing and present data. Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks with a minimum of supervision. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment. Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and SharePoint, and familiarity with and/ or the desire to learn and use drilling software, including WellView, Discovery Web, etc.
Basic Responsibilities Working with Engineering and Operations to provide technical assistance in data capture and analysis, preparation of reports and presentations, and any other assistance as requested by the Team. Provide Controls / OIMS Coordination and Cost Tracking / Analysis stewardship Organizing and maintaining the LAN, Team SharePoint sites and hard copy files Creating and maintaining databases as directed and issuing periodic reports and summaries as required (Drilling Performance Data, MOC’s, OIMS documentation, Environmental Initiatives database, training database, etc.). Preparing and compiling Final Well Reports, Well Handover Documents, etc., within the required timeframe. Proofreading and finalizing documents, procedures, etc., for final review and approval as requested. Providing backup and relief for the Administrative staff as necessary.
