International Oil and Gas Company is looking for Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing.
Processes invoices in JDE accounting system.
Verifies invoices comply with the existing contracts, obtains expenditure approval to each, and prepares journal entries for payables transactions in JDE.
Monitors prepayment an suspense account balances, prepares journal entries for clearance transactions.
Compliance.
Assist Sr. Accountant with due diligence and documented package preparation for compliance approval requests.
Acts as guided by the Sr. Accountant in support of required compliance reconciliation activities.
Invoice Payments .
Back-up role for payment processing accountant.
Creates payment control groups twice a week.
Advise Moscow office two days in advance of cash required for payment.
Resolves any open issues with vendors.
File Maintenance.
Files accounting journals and batches and maintains accounting archive, and keeps batch log.
Other.
Collects, organizes, and files all supporting documents & reference materials for Job Functions 1 through 4.
Performs other accounting duties as directed by Finance Supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
English language at upper-intermediate level.
2-3 years of experience in accounting.
Accuracy, attentiveness to details is necessary.
