Our client looking for LHR Sr Project Engineer
General Description includes managing all or part of the engineering scope of a COMPANY project. Provides direction and coordinates the Engineering and Design Leads on an assigned project. Is responsible for the execution of engineering deliverables including the engineering schedule, budget, document controls and manpower staffing. Proactively manages change. Establishes project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and established engineering and project requirements. Identifies problems and coordinates with the engineering team to correct. Maintains and promotes a focus on COMPANYs end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines. Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control. Reviews work with client, management and project leads. May be assigned as the Project Engineering Manager for a project. Place in Organization: Reports to the Manager Project Engineering Management. General Tasks for Projects Functions: • Managing and coordinating the project structure, administration and effectiveness. • Ensuring an integrated quality of the final product. • Troubleshooting in case one of the above is not met. • Using People Skills to build and motivate project teams. Specific Tasks and Responsibilities for the area of responsibility on the project and the project assigned to: • Has single point responsibility for overall safety, budget, schedule, quality and technical integrity of the project engineering scope and acts as deputy of the Project Manager. • Directs and monitors Lead engineers to prepare their input for the Project Execution Plan including procedures, practices, standards, specifications and tools that are consistent between all disciplines and areas. • Manages the Lead engineers, Project engineers and Document Managers with special focus on interfaces required by concurrent project execution to achieve quality deliverables produced to the Plan. • Responsible for value/cost engineering to achieve optimum project solutions. • Ensures timely implementation and related training of multi-discipline project systems, e.g. Idocs, Marian and project IT systems. • Facilitates and/or participates in HAZOP studies, design reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, peer reviews, Project Integrity Checklists, and technical reviews. • Responsible for document management group. • Responsible for the overall IT strategy for the project in all aspects. • Manages the development of IT interfaces with the relevant EPC parties, including Client, Sellers, Sub-contractors and Detailed Engineering Centers. • Develops and maintains the Project IT Plan. • Responsible for guidance, interface and assistance to project key personnel related to Project IT. Education & Training requirements: • MS degree (TU)/BS degree (HTO) or equivalent by experience. • Courses to develop management skills. • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a PE or equivalent position. • Has accumulated some years of site experience. • When working on jobsite: VCA-VOL • Fluent in the English language (writing and speech) Desirable Skills / Qualifications: Personal characteristics: • Persistent to meet objectives. • Stress resistant. • Flexible. • Creative. Intellectual capabilities: • Broad technical knowledge of all disciplines and the work processes to allow understanding and analysis of the work and its problems . • Knowledge of EPC projects execution. • Analytical and judgmental skills to find and implement proactive solutions. • Broad understanding of the project IT requirements
