MPH-CIFAL RUS is the Russian subsidiary of MPH Group, company founded in 1985 and specialised in providing specialist knowledge and expertise to the international oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and construction industries. Position & Mission:
Our customer is an International Operating Company, currently undertaking a major oil project located in Russia. We currently have a vacant position of CHIEF PLANNER.
Activities:
* Planning/scheduling:
- The supervision, control and co-ordination of all activities related to Project Scheduling & Planning and Project Progress measurement & reporting.
- Developing and maintaining integrated schedules for Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Startup Phases of the Project. Ensuring availability at all times of an up-to-date and accurate Project Schedule and Progress reporting documentation
- Monitoring of the Overall Integrated Project Schedule (pre and post FID, for both Offshore, Onshore, Corporate…) and identifying at all times areas of concern (critical path, clashes, major delays...) and/or any conflicts between various schedule elements and advice management of their potential impact.
- Collecting, checking and commenting input received by (Offshore and Onshore) planning engineers
- Consolidating scheduling information for analysis or reporting,
- Provide detailed and accurate monthly progress report to be incorporated into the Monthly Project Report (f,
- Organise as necessary all meetings related to scheduling activities,
- Elaboration, updating and revision of Project schedules as required by Project management,
- Produce critical path/float analysis for the project management.
- Produce overall schedule overviews for the project management & Shareholders meetings
- Definition and update of the Overall Project Work Breakdown Structure,
- Elaboration, revision and implementation of Project scheduling procedures/rules and documents in close co-operation with the Project Control Engineer,
- Provide assistance to the Project management for all matters related to Scheduling & progress reporting and provide analyses and simulations of new schedules (alternative concepts)
- Participate to reviews and technical audits on Scheduling & Progress reporting as required.
- Identify schedule related risks and model their impact in the Project risk model.
* Risk Management:
- Following the Risk Management Plan, support the Onshore and Offshore Risk and Interface Managers and Risk Management Champions within the functions to develop aligned Project Risk Management processes and assessment within their areas… especially in terms of schedule.
- Facilitate identification and assessment of the Project level risks and opportunities through group ‘brainstorming’ and individual interview sessions
- Deploy appropriate techniques to identify significant risks and opportunities, especially ones impacting Project’s schedule
- Help maintaining the Project Risk Register for Project level risks and opportunities
- Ensure the assignment of Risk Owners of the risk and opportunities within the Project Risk Register and support them for the definition, implementation and follow-up of mitigation actions
- Provide updates of the Project Risk Register to the Risk, Development & Planning Manager.
- Provide schedule and cost QRA risk models to evaluate combined influences of uncertainties (and the resultant risks and opportunities) on project time and cost performance prospects
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario/decision-testing analyses as requested
- Ensure, in liaison with the planning and cost control team, that approved risk reduction actions are integrated into the overall project schedule and budget
- Monitor progress on risks and risk reduction actions at Project level
Qualifications / experience required:
* At least 15 years planning experience preferably in oil and gas projects, preferably in Russia / FSU countries.
* Fully conversant in planning & scheduling tools like Primavera (P6), Milestones, Pertmaster.
* Preferably an engineering degree.
* Must be able to operate in a diverse multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
* Requires a "can do" attitude whilst working independently and sometimes in isolation
* Be an effective communicator in a multi-language environment.
* Must be fluent in English and Russian languages.
