Responsibilities
Ensures proper HSE/SD strategies, systems, policies, standards.
Delivers HSE/SD (social performance and non-technical risks) support, coordinating resources and efforts with HSE/SD counterparts including Emergency Management.
Leverages best practice and implements learning from incidents throughout regional/business/asset. Experience and Qualifications
Operations experience at a senior level with significant HSE&SD exposure and strong HSE track record over a number of years
Substantial experience in technical disciplines (drilling, seismic), including line management positions.
Degree in Safety Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or Environmental studies or similar.
10 plus years of relevant experience with frontier project management experience in the Oil and Gas Exploration & Production business.
Speaks and communicates fluent in Russian language.
At least proficiency level in English.
Experience in the implementation of HSE Management Systems.
Ability to deal with JV partner, contractor and sub-contractor HSE management in a multi-cultural environment.
Preferably have experience in exploration ventures (specifically seismic acquisition and drilling).
Exposure to managing HSE in a start-up mode, including social performance and non-technical risk management.
Have confidence to challenge the status quo when appropriate.
Have the ability to handle potentially difficult situations and to arrive at a balanced judgement.
Be a team player with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling him or her to build a rapport with others.
