Position & Mission:
Our customer is an International Operating Company, currently undertaking a major oil project located in Russia, in the North-Western Part of Siberia. We currently have a vacant position of: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.
The job holder manages, under the responsibility of the Engineering Leader, all technical activities related to the Electrical during the Detailed engineering phases, with particular attention paid to HSE matters. The job holder is the main interlocutor of Main PACKAGE leader,(Gas Treatment Package, Rotating Machine and Building) for Electrical technical issues. He liaises with the relevant specialists whenever required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and digest the pre-project studies and Basis of Design
• Verify the deliverables to be produced by the Contractor(s) related to Electrical
• Coordinate and supervise Electrical studies for the Central Process Facilities, Utilities …
• Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the Statement of Requirements
• Ensure coordination of Electrical activities with the other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities. Control and comment all Electrical documentation issued by contractor(s) related to engineering, procurement, project management, fabrication and tests, and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules. Review and answer to the Engineering Queries and Requests For Waiver
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work. Participate to internal and external interface meetings
• Participate to Technical Reviews/Audits (HAZID, HAZOP, PTR …). Ensure follow-up and implementation of outcome
• Liaise with operating team to collect necessary data for the project
• Contribute to Technical Evaluations, Recommendations To Award … for selection of the Sub-Contractor(s) as required
• Manage technical interfaces related to Electrical between EPC Contracts, LLI’s …
• Participate to the equipment Factory Acceptance Tests
• Provide support/participate to construction and commissioning for activities related to Electrical
• Verify that the Contractor(s) are administrating properly the relevant procurement
• Participate to site visits as necessary
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Provide input to the Engineering Manager for Electrical progress reporting (data, narrative …), highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions
Activities :
• Ensure the satisfactory completion of project in terms of Electrical activities
• Manage and control (technical, budget and schedule …) and approve Electrical engineering studies during the Project execution in line with Company Referential, Master Development Plan …
• Anticipate potential problems of interfaces. Analyse and propose corrective actions Profile:
• Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the oil industry as Electrical engineer (upstream)
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing). Russian would be a must
