Our customer is an International Operating Company, currently undertaking a major oil project located in Russia, in the North-Western Part of Siberia. We currently have a vacant position of: Junior Instrumentation Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
In charge, under the responsibility of a senior Instrument and Control System Engineer of the follow up and supervision during the different phases of the project: Detail Design, Procurement, Construction, and as necessary precommissioning, commissioning.
The contract for realization of the Project is an EPSCC, the instrumentation engineer will be integrated in a small engineering team, in charge of the follow up of the Project in the Contractor’s premises.
Technical authority and responsible of the instrument discipline. In charge of the coordination with the Process Engineers, with the Safety Engineers and with the Operation Team in order to define and implement all the requirements in the Instrument Control and Safety Systems
During the project, the Job Holder has to:
• Define, follow-up and evaluate the instrument discipline studies to be carried out
• Verify the deliverables to be produced by the Contractor(s) related to Instrumentation
• Monitor instrument discipline studies during engineering (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting)
• Responsible for the quality of the engineering studies that are produced by the Contractor together with his deliverables
• Check that the design is developed in line with the FEED and the Statement of Requirements
• Organise assistance from Company’s Corporate organisation or from external Specialists as necessary
• Communications with Corporate Organisation for key reviews on HSE, in technological, in operation and project requirements related matters
• Participate to Technical Reviews/Audits (HAZID, HAZOP, PTR …).Verify follow-up and implementation of outcome
• Clearly identify the possible deviations from Company’s referential and report of the same to senior Instrument and Control System Engineer for final decision on implementation and initiate the associated deviation request
• Participate to the technical evaluation of the suppliers
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work
• Participate to site visits as necessary
• Contribute and coordinate the engineering interfaces with other disciplines and existing facilities
• Give technical inputs to the definition of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Coordinate Instrumentation activities (Scope of work, Engineering, FAT…)
• Participate to weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Participate to the ICSS Factory Acceptance Tests
• Provide support/participate to construction and commissioning for activities
• Ensure detailed progress reporting to senior Instrument and Control System Engineer
Provide input to the senior Instrument and Control System Engineer for Instrumentation progress reporting (data, narrative …), highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions
Profile:
• Graduate engineer with Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience: Sound background in Oil & Gas engineering areas with good knowledge in process. Good understanding of field Instrumentation (site experience), Control Systems, ICSS, PLC control (Familiarity with DeltaV and Tricon systems)
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Skills in external communication, able to work in a multicultural environment
