Position & Mission:
Our customer is an International Operating Company, currently undertaking a major oil project located in Russia, in the North-Western Part of Siberia. We currently have a vacant position of: Pipeline & Civil Field Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
The Pipeline & Civil Field Engineer, reporting to the Field Project Engineer, is responsible for the resolution of all technical activities related to civil and pipeline works along the ROW and at the wellpads during the construction and commissioning activities on site, with particular attention being paid to HSE at all times.
Predominantly based in the field, the Pipeline & Civil Field Engineer needs to liaise closely with the Construction Contractor and identify areas where further clarification to the existing engineering design is required. Such matters should be brought to the immediate attention of the Design Authorship Supervisor who will investigate the issue and decide on the appropriate remedial action required in conjunction with Company Specialists where required. During the project, the Pipeline & Civil Field Engineer has to:
• Coordinate and supervise Civil and Pipeline works studies for the scope described above.
• Check that Construction is performed in conjunction with the design intent and the Statement of Requirements.
• Ensure coordination of Civil and Pipeline activities with other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design.
• Control and comment the documents issued by contractor(s) and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules and Russian standards and practices. Preparation, review and answer of the Technical Queries Requests for the disciplines of pipeline and civil.
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings as required to achieve the performance of the work.
• Relay to the Design Authorship team on site any deviations from the design that have been implemented in the field and ensure that the correct paperwork for such deviations is in place to rectify the situation or accept the current installation.
• Update and reissue technical design documentation prior to construction activities should corrections to the design be required.
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities.
• Liaise with operating team to collect necessary data for the project.
• Provide input to the Site Construction Manager for Project progress reporting (data, narrative …), outlines critical problems and proposes corrective actions.
• Follow up and verify all documentations proposed by the Contractor are in lien with project expectations and requirements.
• Ensure that all activities supervised are performed with the proper degree of safety and environment protection.
Issue in due time Daily report and assist site management in the issuance of the weekly, monthly, final report …) Activities :
• Ensure the satisfactory completion of all project site engineering activities
• Manage and control (technical and schedule …) progress on site engineering during the Project execution in line with Company Referential and Project targets
• Anticipate potential problems of interfaces. Analyse and propose corrective actions Profile:
• Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in civil and pipeline engineering and construction for the oil industry of which 5 spent in a lead Civil/Pipeline engineering position.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment
