Laboratory Manager
Function:
The fundamental duties of the Laboratory Manager will be to organize and manage the activities of Company’s laboratory based in Khimki (Moscow area), lead R&D projects, perform product development and provide analytical QC (quality control) for locally blended and imported materials. Additionally, this position will be expected to provide technical/analytical support to field engineers and technical/sales representatives.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure adherence to Champion QHSE procedures and policies
•Manage technical projects requiring laboratory and analytical support (projects initiated and approved by Sales/Marketing/Technology Management)
•Manage laboratory chemists and work schedule
•Prepare technical reports for submission to Sales/Marketing/Technology Management and to the Customers
•Support monitoring programs for effective chemical applications
•Provide QC (quality control) analysis for locally manufactured and imported chemicals and raw materials
•Support QC procedure development
•Communicate with Champion global Research and Development and Technical Services for laboratory equipment ordering and installation, product development, test procedures, monitoring programs, etc.
•Manage timely ordering and availability of laboratory glassware, consumables, reagents, test kits, lab stationary, etc.
•Provide technical training for laboratory/field support personnel
•Train Local Engineers in Technical aspects of Analytical Applications and tests procedures
•Develop relationships with key target client R&D interfaces
•Assist with finding and hiring of local Technical Engineers and Laboratory Chemists.
Qualifications:
•Degree in Chemistry/Petroleum Engineering
•Fluent written and spoken English and Russian Languages
•Computer Literate (Microsoft Office programs)
•Excellent Communication skills
•Self Motivated
•Flexible approach to work
•Ability to travel
•Technical Experience in selection and application of Production Chemicals
