Logistics representative

This position is based in Russia. The Logistics representative will be involved in a major Oil & Gas EPC’s project.

Activities:

• Define, with the support of Home Office, the material management procedures;
• Manage the material staff;
• Receive and analyse material expediting status;
• Receive and analyse shipping forecast;
• Receive handling/storage recommendations;
• Prepare storage ground or location;
• Receive, administrate and file shipping documents and material certificates;
• Co-ordinates when necessary and perform unloading at port/customs operations/inland transportation;
• Monitor unloading at Site;
• Supervise consignment checks for external visible or suspected damages;
• Issue OSDs and transport insurance claim notifications;
• Notify site Construction Team of material delivery status;
• Supervise quantity check and conformity with packing list/purchase order and material requisition;
• Supervise checking of the conditions of the goods received;
• Supervise verification, with discipline supervisors, of suspected material discrepancies;
• Supervise storage and preserve material as required;
• Supervise verification of material identification versus material certificate and colour coding;
• Enter material into stock;
• Spot check quantities against stock records;
• Transfer each material arriving on site to concerned Subcontractor and obtain signature of the concerned receipt voucher and keep the original in file;
• Transfer to Client the contractual spare parts;
• Ensure the transportation of all packing material, cable drums, containers, etc. required to be returned to suppliers;
• Initiate selling of surplus material at the time of work completion;
• Initiate the orderly disposal of Contractor’s scraps and packing materials;
• Operate the software for Material Management on Site (SP Mat);
• Notify the Construction Subcontractors, after co-ordinating with the discipline supervisors and construction manager, when material is ready for collection;
• Optimise at the beginning of piping fabrication and erection the use of available piping material in order to enable a smooth work load to the Construction Subcontractors;
• Maintain awareness of laws, commercial conditions and local customs that have been on the procurement requirement of the company.

Qualifications and Experience required:

Graduate Engineer with minimum 7 years experience in oil and gas industry;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
Fluent Russian is mandatory;
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
