Mechanical and Piping Supervisor
Location: Aktau, Kazakhstan
Role Overview: To monitor and supervisethe mechanical and piping activities associated with the fabrication and construction of Pig Traps skids for EPC2, EPC3, EPC4 and FFD.
Duration: 12 Month Contract with possible Extension
Basis: Residential
Indicative Day Rate: Negotiable according to candidate experience
Role Activities:
· Monitoring and supervising the piping fabrication activities carried out by the CONTRACTOR at fabrication yard in Aktau
· Monitor the quality and progress of the work scope and adherence to company and contractor procedures.
· Ensuring that the piping fabrication and assembly activities are carried out to the schedule and highest HSE standards.
· Ensuring necessary HSE reviews are undertaken and identified actions completed.
· Ensure the Company quality standards and applicable code are applied.
· Coordinate, support and interface with IVB during piping prefabrication and NDT activities.
· Providing daily progress reports to Pig Trap Project Coordinator.
· Participating in engineering and fabrication and safety meeting in Kazakhstan or Italy for piping fabrication and assembly works.
· Providing technical support to the project on piping fabrication, installation, commissioning and Hook up.
· Provide input to Project Documents for Piping fabrication / assembly, commissioning and start-up requirements.
· Supporting for load out/in activity.
· Contributing to EP Offshore improvement process and close-out report.
· Ensuring the issuance of appropriate documentation for installation works e.g. requests, permits, isolations, etc
· Co-ordinating closely with all interfaces associated with the project.
· Provide input re: operability issue associated with piping layouts, in particular low points, venting, testing, etc.
· Work closely with company O&M group.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Engineering technical qualification,.
· Minimum 5 years experience in piping and mechanical fabrication .
Familiarity with piping design and welding codes.
· Knowledge and experience of Oil and Gas systems.
· Knowledge of site fabrication activities.
· The ability to work to the highest HSE standards, have a proactive approach to decision making, problem solving and analytical skills, and be a good team player.
· Experience and knowledge of Multi Discipline International Construction sites.
· Experience in As-builting and Mechanical Completions.
· Sound knowledge of most computer applications
· Excellent English skills both written and spoken (Kazak or Russian an additional advantage)
· The ability to lead, work with and coach local and International staff.
Self starter who is able to plan their own priorities within the context of the current and planned workload
