Recruiting agency IOTA Vostok is currently looking for experienced professionals for the position of MECHANICAL & PIPING ENGINEER in a large oil & gas company. Key functions:
• Review and digest the pre-project studies and Basis of Design
• Verify the deliverables to be produced by the Contractor(s) related to Mechanical & Piping
• Coordinate and supervise Mechanical & Piping studies for the Central Process Facilities, associated drilling Pads, etc.
• Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the Statement of Requirements
• Ensure coordination of Mechanical & Piping activities with the other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities. Review and answer to the Engineering Queries and Requests For Waiver
• Participate to Technical Reviews/Audits (HAZID, HAZOP, PTR). Ensure follow-up and implementation of outcome
• Contribute to the Tender Packages preparation, Technical Evaluations, Recommendations To Award … for selection of the Contractor(s)
• Manage technical interfaces related to Mechanical & Piping between EPC Contracts, LLI’s, etc.
• Participate to the equipment Factory Acceptance Tests
• Provide support/participate to construction and commissioning for activities related to Mechanical & Piping
• Verify that the Contractor(s) are administrating properly the Company Long Lead Items
• Participate to site visits as necessary
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Provide input to the Engineering Manager for Mechanical & Piping progress reporting (data, narrative, etc.), highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions
Accountabilities:
• Ensure the satisfactory completion of project in terms of Mechanical & Piping activities
• Manage and control (technical, budget and schedule) and approve Mechanical & Piping engineering studies during the Project execution in line with Company Referential, Master Development Plan, etc.
• Anticipate potential problems of interfaces. Analyse and propose corrective actions
Qualifications / experience required:
• Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the oil industry as Mechanical & Piping Engineer (upstream)
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment
