MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDANT
Position is open in an international engineering company. Location is Central region of Russia, non-rotational basis.
Contract duration – 1 year, with possible prolongation.
Main responsibilities:
• Work under supervision and direction of the Area Superintendent and/or the Construction Manager during the erection, testing and commissioning of the equipments (static and rotating) required for the construction of petrochemical units.
• Manage, lead and coordinate the activities of supervisors assigned, responsible for ensuring that all mechanical group are aware of each Project’s quality and safety requirements
• Ensure that all equipments (static and rotating) are stored (Preventive maintenance prior to and during erection) maintained, installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the applicable codes, specifications, drawings and mechanical vendors documents.
• Coordinate the required inspections and testing with the Construction Contractor, pre-commissioning manager.
• Validate equipment lifting and transportation studies.
• Supervise the mechanical site vendors in term of: Cost, schedule, achievement, performance.
• Coordinate problems and solutions between site Construction Contractor, the field engineers and the mechanical site vendors.
• Daily reporting and inspections on work in progress.
• Reviewing and assisting in weekly progress reporting.
• Check that Construction Contractors organization staffs on the Site are in sufficient number and with suitable qualification in line with construction schedule sequence and targets.
• Attend and participate in weekly coordination meetings with other Construction Contractors and area superintendents.
Main requirements:
• Higher technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering field.
• Experience in working on construction projects on pre-commissioning/commissioning stages, mainly with static and rotating equipment.
• Fluent English.
• Readiness to move to Central region for permanent basis (at least 1 year).
