Offshore completion supervisors
The Offshore Completion Supervisor is a member of the Wells Completion Engineering Team, working as offshore Completion Supervisor for Drilling & Completions in Ula, Valhall and Hod Assets. The position is shore based in Stavanger in the well planning phase and offshore based during the installation phase of well completion equipment. The position reports to the team Completion Engineering Lead onshore and to the Wellsite Leader offshore.
Onshore duties are to coordinate with other disciplines within the Wells Team and with selected Service vendors to ensure the completion equipment deliverables, including spare parts are properly constructed and tested and dispatched to the drilling unit as required by the drilling and intervention schedule.
Whilst onshore in the planning phase the offshore Completion Supervisor will also support the Lead Completion Engineer in workover equipment planning and programming according to the Global Wells and Beyond the Best common process, thereby ensuring the drilling and well operations are completed and planned in line with corporate, wells, and Norwegian rules and regulations, policies and guidelines.
Offshore the Completion Supervisor will assist the Wellsite Leader in the preparation, maintenance and installation of the well completion equipment in the well construction phase.
Job description:
• Ensure that D&C needs and requirements are met with regards to the testing and verification of completion equipment whilst onshore and offshore.
• The position will also be required for operations planning, participation in preparing detailed operations procedures whilst both onshore and offshore.
• The primary responsibility of the position holder is the preparation and verification testing, and safe and compliant installation of the required completions equipment during the well construction phases according to the required timeline and wells schedule and with high focus on HSSE and efficiency.
• Preparation and verification of tubing tallies for both lower and upper completion including related drill pipe and landing string requirements.
• Preparation and sign off of the pressure test matrix in conjunction with the onshore assigned Completion engineer.
• Oversight and coordination of the related service company personnel.
• Oversight of maintenance of equipment, spare parts levels, and ensuring service company personnel are fully engaged in the offshore construction processes..
• Oversight of the service company personnel offshore and their compliance with Bp HSSE and reporting requirements.
• Providing offshore to onshore input in relation to programming of works, maintenance, spare parts management and the preparation of Rig Action Plan procedures and test matrix drawings when installing and testing completion components during well construction.
• Maintenance of required Drilling and Completion daily reports with focus on accuracy of content and well information.
HSE:
The position will demonstrate visible commitment to the HSSE standards within BP. This is done by actively making sure that all work is planned and executed with safety in focus.
• Participate in, and make visible HSSE expectations within the team both onshore and offshore in Time Out For Safety, Rig Action Plan meets and pre job tool box talks.
Place of work: Norge and offshore
Education/Experience:
o Minimum B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent and well developed HSE, Drilling, Completion, Subsea and Wells and commercial understandings.
o Minimum 10 years’ experience in completion operations.
o Sound technical understanding of completions and well interventions and related technical processes. .
o Well Control Certification to IWCF Intervention Level 2 Combined.
Personal skills:
o Good interpersonal and team work skills
o Good communication skills across disciplines and with Contractors.
o Proactively seeking advise from others and share own experiences with group.
o Good knowledge of the English and preferably the Norwegian language.
