Purpose:
To coordinate offshore supervision of civil and infrastructure construction activities in the North Caspian Sea Region. Principally the construction, maintenance and abandonment of offshore drilling Islands and sites. The well sites may be sub sea Berm’s or artificial islands including ice protection structures.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
• offshore supervision of construction spreads and activities of the spreads. He is also directly responsible for the quality of the work carried out and adherence to the highest HSE standards.
• maintaining and developing good working relationships offshore with international and local construction contractors and consultants.
• Training and developing Kazakh staff.
Safety Responsibilities:
Responsible to Agip KCO for performance of offshore Health, Safety and the Environment management by its contractors, by ensuring compliance with Contract provisions covering :
• Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations
• Agip KCO’s Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and applying Agip KCO’s Safety Management Systems.
• In addition, the job holder needs to ensure that all regular offshore safety drills are carried out in accordance with HSE standing instructions.
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have:
• Degree level in Civil and/or Building Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar role – offshore / marine experience is a must.
• Previous experience in the FSU is desirable
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
• experience and familiarity with offshore civil construction techniques
• conversance with computers (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and e-mail)
• ability to manage contractors to achieve the highest HSE standards
• good interpersonal skills suitable for the environment
• offshore survival certification including HUET

: Atyrau, KZ.

Duration
: 12 months, with the possibility of extension

Starting
: ASAP

Indicative rate
: GBP 590. – per day of work (subject to final approval)
