Job Title: OFFSHORE PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT Location: Europe
Role Overview: Deputy to OIM on an FPSO, a good understanding of production issues is vital.
Duration: Ongoing
Basis: 28/28, On board day work but 24 hour call.
Indicative Day Rate: Negotiable
Role Activities:
- Act as Deputy to the O.I.M.
- Knowledge of roles and responsibilities with regard to Emergency Response.
- Responsible for the safe, efficient and correct operation of the Production Plant, process, gas compression and water injection systems, machinery, equipment, CCR and instrumentation on the FPSO.
- Ensure that the personnel assigned to the Production Department are fully converse with their duties and responsibilities and undertake to provide training and guidance where shortfalls are identified.
- Prepare, implement and control process system operating and safety procedures.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Utilities Superintendent. Communicate defects, maintenance, repair, calibration and testing requirements to him in order to ensure that the plant and systems are maintained in good condition and to optimum performance.
- Plan and anticipate spare parts, consumables, chemical and other material requirements. Remain aware of stock levels and inform the Utilities Superintendent whenever new supplies are required so that the necessary requisitions are raised in good time.
- Ensure that planned maintenance requirements are undertaken in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and operating experience in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all classification society and national survey requirements are met and satisfied.
- Report to the OIM all relevant matters to the safe operations of the plant.
- Responsible for all cargo matters and the supervision of all activities associated with this.
- Responsible for all matters related to the metering of oil and gas.
- Responsible for all matters related to laboratory testing and analysis and direct the Lab Technician in his duties. Full understanding of criticality regarding chemical injection rates.
- Ensure that comprehensive logs are maintained for all of the Process Plant and systems.
- Act as Area Authority under the THE CLIENT Permit to Work system.
- Thorough knowledge of THE CLIENT Permit to Work system, Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment.
- To be familiar with company procedures, ensuring compliance with same.
- To be familiar with cargo handling operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC or equivalent in a petrochemical subject.
- Minimum 10 years experience, 3 of which must have been as Production Supervisor.
- Computer literate and experienced in computer controlled systems.
- Specific hands on experience in oil, gas and water injection operations, coolers/exchangers, heater/treaters, glycol de-hydration, produced water treatment, chemical systems, wax control, fuel gas systems, fire and gas detection, laboratory procedures, fiscal metering.
