I am currently working in partnership with a global E+P Operating company with interests in Europe, Middle East, Caspian, South America and West Africa, with further exploratory activities in different regions. The company are market leaders in terms of operational efficiency and process safety techniques, consistently raising the bar for others to follow.
The company have set about on a regional growth plan within their Onshore Caspian operation, and as a result are looking for an Operations Geologist, to join their Geo-Engineering Department.
Reporting into the Head of Geoscience you will be responsible for;
· Liaise with all internal customers; drilling and petroleum engineers to ensure that all drilling and well targets are met in a satisfactory manner
· Work closely with external contractors to provide data of the highest quality
· Supervise the team of Well Site Geologists and be point of contact for any issues
· Create detailed planning schedules for location and times of well drilling
· Work as part of a team focussed on field development and optimisation
As the successful candidate you will have;
· A relevant M.Sc. qualification in Geology or Geosciences
· At least 5 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry
· An ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
· Proven experience in Well Operations, including coring and logging operations
