Reporting Lines: Reporting to the Area Construction Superintendent
Accountability
The Piling Supervisor is responsible for the activities in his construction field to be executed in his area. The Piling Supervisor has the responsibility for proper execution of these construction activities in the following fields:
•Health, Safety and Environment
•Quality
•Schedule
Position Outline
The Piling Supervisor
•Coordinates with other Piling supervisors to ensure that all the CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS activities are being carried out in compliance with HSE&S requirements and standards,
•Ensures that hazards identification, risk analysis and evaluation (risk assessment) are implemented, and Work Execution Procedures are provided incorporating risk control measures for all hazardous work,
•Ensures that the CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS obtain any necessary Work Permits,
•Verify that the CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR work is carried out strictly in accordance with the approved Work Execution Procedure and associated Work Permit or JSA,
•Ensures that all tools and equipment used meet minimum safety standards,
•Ensures that workers properly wear and use personal protective equipment and safety devices according to the requirements and the manufacturer’s instructions,
•Ensures that housekeeping standards are maintained, and that a waste disposal program for waste and scrap materials is set up and enforced,
•Regularly takes part in the Tool Box Meetings (TBM) and ensures that all employees actively participate and receive necessary safety instructions,
•Reports on Construction Manager on anticipated HSE&S matters of concern,
•Establishes and maintains a motivational environment that includes positive recognition as well as enforcement,
•Ensures that the Area Superintendent is always kept informed of day to day construction events,
•Participates in the weekly type of work progress reporting,
•With the support of the Safety Officer dedicated to the Area, ensures that the plant is constructed safely with required care to the environment,
•With the support of the Discipline QC Inspector, ensures that the piles are installed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications,
•Makes sure that the planned site progress is in conformity with the schedule and participates, as required to, to the revision of the Construction schedule,
•Ensures that the piles are installed in accordance with the last revision of the approved drawings, specifications and ensures (in conjunction with the Construction Contractor Construction Supervisor) that the work is complete and ready for inspection (see “Request for Inspection” 9631U-G-PP-0813).
•Participates to the progress/coordination/technical meetings with CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS,
•Ensures that CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS’ personnel understand the Site organization, project requirements and procedures,
•Piling Supervisor shall have a minimum of 3 years experience on piling activities,
•Piling Supervisor shall know all local piling regulations and SNiP and GOST standards in addition to Project standards,
•Fluent Russian/English requested
