Position & Mission:
Our customer is an International Operating Company, currently undertaking a major oil project located in Russia, in the North-Western Part of Siberia. We currently have a vacant position of: MECHANICAL & PIPING Field ENGINEER.
The job holder manages, under the responsibility of the Field Project Engineering, all technical activities related to Mechanical & Piping during the Detailed engineering phases, with particular attention paid to HSE matters
The job holder is the main interlocutor of Engineering and LLI’s Contractor(s) for Mechanical & Piping technical issues. He liaises with the relevant specialists whenever required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and digest the detail Design
• Verify the deliverables to be produced to or by the Contractor(s) related to Mechanical & Piping
• Coordinate and supervise Mechanical & Piping studies for the Central Process Facilities, associated drilling Pads …
• Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the Statement of Requirements
• Ensure coordination of Mechanical & Piping activities with the other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design
• Follow-up Contractor(s) activities. Control and comment all Mechanical & Piping documentation issued by contractor(s) related to engineering, procurement, project management, fabrication and tests, and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules. Review and answer to the Engineering Queries and Requests For Waiver
• Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work. Participate to internal and external interface meetings
• Participate to Technical Reviews/Audits (HAZID, HAZOP, PTR …). Ensure follow-up and implementation of outcome
• Liaise with operating team to collect necessary data for the project
• Manage technical interfaces related to Mechanical & Piping between EPC Contracts, LLI’s …
• Provide support/participate to construction and commissioning for activities related to Mechanical & Piping
• Verify that the Contractor(s) are administrating properly the Company Long Lead Items
• Participate to site visits as necessary
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings
• Provide input to the Field project Engineering for Mechanical & Piping progress reporting (data, narrative …), highlight critical problems and propose corrective actions
• Ensure and liaise with his field project engineer and design author ship
Activities :
• Ensure the satisfactory completion of project in terms of Mechanical & Piping activities
• Manage and control (technical, budget and schedule …) and approve Mechanical & Piping engineering studies during the Project execution in line with Company’s Referential, Master Development Plan …
• Anticipate potential problems of interfaces. Analyse and propose corrective actions
Profile:
• Graduate engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the oil industry as Mechanical & Piping engineer (upstream)
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment
