Principal Proposal Specialist (Industrial Automation)
Work location: Moscow (Russia)
Functions
• Principal Proposal Specialist is responsible for the proposal process regarding large, complex issues including IT services, solutions, design or manufacturing services. Project manages the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing, with particular emphasis on establishing the trading terms. Responsible for validating/endorsing the technical solution. At the highest authority levels, signs off on bids and proposals.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
• Prepares proposal schedule, notifying all involved parties of commitments and deadlines and soliciting active account manager participation from the sales force.
• Coordinates with other departments to gather accurate information required for the proposal.
Customer Interaction
• Working independently with customer specifications, configures the control systems for the proposal, determines the scope of the project and the value added services involved, compiles project costs and provides pricing data necessary for discount authorization requests.
Technical Support
• Solves engineering application problems of substantial complexity, with little or no assistance from Account Representatives, Application Engineers or Technical Consultants.
• Reviews and interprets customer technical specifications, working closely with technical support consultants or account representatives to develop the layout of the proposal, and to resolve the more complex technical questions that may arise during proposal development.
Presentation
• Generates final customer proposal, utilizing PC based graphics and desktop publishing packages, to develop a product which is both accurate and aesthetically appealing to the customer.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Automation or related discipline.
• 2+ years in a sales support environment
• Good business skills
• Knowledge in industrial automation on local Oil & Gas, Chemical, Paper & Mill, Metallurgy, Power markets will be a preference.
• Fluent English
