As a member of the regional development team, ensure full value delivery from Company’s Hydrocarbon resource Base in the Russia-Caspian region through effective venture governance and support on HC Maturation and Well & Reservoir Management.
Accountabilities
Support the Development Manager across the full spectrum of his Petroleum Engineering and Development activities, but especially:
Monitor and steer the geosciences aspects of subsurface proposals and activities of the Joint Venture operator to ensure Company’s interests are protected and optimized
Execute the geosciences elements of NCPSA (Kashagan) reserves reporting
Represent Company in partner technical meetings and workshops
Provide geosciences support for growth opportunities
Special Challenges
Maximise the value for Company in a Non-Operated venture environment by using appropriate influencing skills and strategies
Working under pressure
Need to work seamlessly across multiple locations (Kazakhstan, Russia and The Netherlands) and multiple stakeholders
Maintain a functional link with the global Company Geosciences community
Experience and Qualifications Required
The successful candidate must:
have a university degree in Geology or equivalent
have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably on both clastic and carbonate reservoirs
preferably have experience with SEC Proved reserves reporting
experience with the Russian-CIS subsurface related permits & approvals system
have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and networking skills for building and operating diverse relationships
be able to work independently
proven interest and commitment to HSSE
fluent English
