Position
Project control engineer
PCE reports to the Project Manager
Function
• Proposal Preparation: review scope; develop project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure); review & validate project estimate; develop & verify project schedule; follow-up & updating of old proposals to current scope/schedule/estimate; participate in review/validate of client requisition.
• Project Execution: update/track cost & schedule for all design, construction, acceptance & project close out activities; responsible for administering the project change control process; update cash flow & contingency curves; participate in progress meetings & track action items; collect, analyze & update designers/fabricators/contractor’s schedules & cost reports; responsible for earned value & variance analysis reporting; prepare monthly project reports; prepare/update portfolio & various exception reports; oversee/supervise the project document control function; responsible for preparation/documentation of as built schedules & final cost variance reports after the final acceptance.
• Project Approval: Budget verification; finalize budget allocation; prepare contingency draw down schedule; customize change control plan; prepare detailed & cost loaded CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule; verify design plan/budget; verify/integrate equipment schedule/budget; prepare cash flow projections; participate in the execution plan development.
Requirements
• Industrial Engineering degree preferable in Electro Mechanics;
• 1 - 3 years relevant experience;
• Job experience in the industrial gas business or on process plant engineering & construction projects is a plus;
• Technical knowledge: Needs special focus for safety issues, quality standards, ISO requirements
• experience on small multi-projects environment is much appreciated;
• Strong English language skills
• Strong interpersonal skills : team player, good communicator, not afraid to stand up and talk/defends his ideas;
• Job experience in Russian project environment is a must.
