Functions
• Provide technical expertise, know-how and an integrated strategic view to protect and increase value of investment in the area of major projects (appraise to execute), engineering, operations, process safety, pipelines, integrity management;
• Provide and facilitate technical support to the JV to improve technology, organisational capability, build expertise and inform business decisions;
• Develop relationships and foster cooperation with employees to facilitate exchange of information to the mutual benefit of the company;
• To advise Company Management on business investment, project development decisions and portfolio;
• Provide technical assurance and expertise to planning and performance management and long term plans;
• A high level of self awareness and ability to relate to others and flexibility in style and ability to provide leadership and operate in an ambiguous environment is required;
• The role will suit an experienced practitioner with a strong track record, a sense of adventure, and a desire to make a significant contribution to the success of a new and evolving company
Requirements
This position requires broad engineering experience especially in the areas of major projects (appraisal through execute) and operations. Experience in process safety, integrity management and pipelines is considered a plus. A demonstrable commitment to safety underpins all that we do.
• 10 plus years practical experience in an engineering or project discipline;
• project management skills;
• demonstrated people skills, with the ability to work in multi-cultural, multidiscipline environment needed to ensure connection with the broad company user community, current and future;
• demonstrated track record as a self-starter, capable of reducing complex problems to manageable entities;
• demonstrated success communicating at the senior levels;
• demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous projects;
• ability to interface with other team members of different diciplines;
• applicants should be highly motivated and able to demonstrate a willingness to learn;
• established networks within company which can be leveraged in facilitation of technical expertise and areas which require focused support is considered a plus;
• English is fluent.
