Position: Project Tax and Accounting Advisor (temporary contract)
Accountabilities
• To provide tax and accounting support to project, in particular participate in implementation of GSAP (Global SAP) in Russian DownStream (DS) business
• To ensure compliance with Russian tax laws and regulations
• Provide a full advisory (methodology) service for GSAP project (both for technical and finance people) on local tax and accounting issues.
• Review and test solutions proposed by GSAP team.
• Participate in preparation of data migration to GSAP.
• Participate in testing scenarios where tax and accounting knowledge required
• Provide tax and accounting advisory services with respect to streamline models of the transactions and company’s activities ensuring tax and accounting effectiveness of their activities.
Special Challenges
• To get familiar quickly with the corporate structure and commercial arrangements of companies and of business developments within the group generally.
• To demonstrate and exercise risk awareness and apply risk based approach to business initiatives.
• To be fully familiar with the details of the Russian tax and accounting regime as they affect business proposals and operations.
• To be fully familiar with Russian Accounting principles. Knowledge of International Accounting principles is a plus.
• To be fully familiar with statutory and tax accounting in production enterprises.
• To be an integral member of a diverse and virtual regional tax team.
• To liase fully with colleagues in DS, and Steamline team.
• Take responsibility for own personal and professional development.
Requirements
• Relevant tax, law or accounting qualification.
• At least 4 years' corporate tax or accounting experience.
• Experience in ERP system implementation
• A thorough understanding and complete knowledge of tax and accounting rules in Russia.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Fluent English
Additional advantages:
• ACCA, CPA or other professional qualification is an advantage
