QA manager Position Overview:
Quality Assurance Team Leader will take responsibility for the supervision of Moscow part of Global Rates QA team. This individual is responsible for ensuring deliverable under test in Rates development meet specifications, quality objectives, and customer expectations. Other responsibilities include working with group leads and individual contributors to identify test requirements, and test strategies for software development projects.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of 10 QA analysts.
• Direct eTrading, market connectivity, execution and trade processing test strategies and approaches to ensure efficient and effective use of company resources while achieving quality objectives.
• Support Global QA Manager to improve processes that increase quality, productivity, and predictability.
• Ensure test plans and test cases developed by the team provide the necessary test coverage.
• Identify risks, provided impact analysis, and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage test environments and resources ensuring support of test efforts and schedules.
• Ensure Rate QA Engagement and process (egg. SDLC, security, etc) are followed and adhered to.
• Effectively resource strategic and maintenance projects.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress.
• Work and collaborate with Global QA Manager, Development leads and Stakeholders to ensure project deliverable are complete and consistent.
• Effectively represent the department to individuals throughout the company.
• Encourage positive communication, set team and individual goals, monitor and maintain good morale.
• Interview, mentor, and hire staff.
• Manage employee and organizational escalation when they occur.
• Leverage existing test automation frameworks to increase test coverage.
Requirements:
Experience and Qualifications:
• 6 years QA experience, 2 of which includes team leadership.
• Experience in coordinating large, complex integrated testing efforts.
• Experience working with Agile development methodology.
• Outstanding leadership skills including team building, mentoring, problem solving and planning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with customers (internal and external).
• Strong knowledge of systems and software development.
• Demonstrated success using test automation frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality principles and test methodology.
Technical skills and abilities:
• 6 years QA experience, 2 of which includes team leadership.
• Experience in coordinating large, complex integrated testing efforts.
