Mechanical activity: • Check the daily reporting of the sites. • As focal point for mechanical engineering matters, to provide technical support to Maintenance team for rotating equipment. • Ensure in real-time that all necessary rotating equipment for production are available for maximum production value. • Ensure the installation of the RM&D (Remote Monitoring and Diagnostic) and PPM RE (Plant Performance Monitoring) for monitoring all critical turbo machineries which having high impact to the production shortfall. • Ensure consistency of technical maintenance documentation and the updating of maintenance activities inside CMMS. • Monitors and updates materials MRP data, review stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimise the stock value whilst ensuring that all spare parts are available for routine, breakdown and shutdown maintenance. • Treats material requests from site maintenance, makes quality control on spares to be sent and prepares movements forms for available stocks to ensure proper material description and nomenclature. • Supervise the condition monitoring: Analyses the functional parameters of the equipment and ensures the implementation and follow-up of condition monitoring program. • Troubleshoot complex or recurring mechanical problems which require analysis and recommends cost effective solutions for repair. • Proposes and justifies recommendations for the improvement of equipment availability and/or efficiency. • Review and control the standardisation of materials and spare parts for rotating equipment and related systems. • Ensures that proper procedures are followed, and that all modifications are properly documented in accordance with Company standards and specifications. • Supervise the implementation of modifications (safe, commissioning/ start-up, cost-effective and timely execution). • Ensure that all drawings, plans, manual and MELB (maintenance Equipment Log Book) are up-to-date and “as built”, and direct draftsmen to carry out all corrections to reflect any alterations, modifications and additions to mechanical equipment systems. • Contributes to the improvement of competence and skills, experience feedback • Issues maintenance methods activity reports relative to his discipline. Planning and Budget activities: • Issue and review major rotating equipment running schedules and associated 10 years maintenance planning. • Liaise with vendors, HQ specialists and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance, modifications, spare parts, drawings and resolution of technical problems. • Assist the Head of Maintenance and the Mechanical Maintenance team in the preparation of budgets, contracts, shutdowns, modifications, warranty claims, vendor mobilisation and all other support functions necessary for the efficient running of the department. • According approved work programmes, prepares SOW and issues to invited contractors to tender, calls for bid. • Ensure the planned preventive maintenance is carried out as planned, maintenance tasks undertaken adequate to prevent unplanned equipment failure. • Review and check work completed by contractors, ensure compliance with work is satisfactorily completed, and submit to the Head of Maintenance and Inspection for endorsement and payment processing. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Formal education: Engineering degree of Mechanical Engineering • Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in rotating equipment in the oil & Gas, or petrochemical industries(knowledge of Siemens and Solar turbo machineries) • Must be fluent in English • Expertise for failure diagnostics and equipment reliability improvement. • Good managerial, presentation, negotiation and communication skills • Knowledge of CMMS as applicable to oil and gas industry • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills • Good documentation and organisation skills • Knowledge of international Codes, Standards and Regulations. • Computer literacy is mandatory.
