Operational Excellence Manager
General Information:
Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy) is the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project under a Production Sharing Agreement with the Russian Federation. The company was formed in 1994 to develop the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field and the Lunskoye gas field in the Sea of Okhotsk offshore Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East. Sakhalin Energy is a unique partnership drawing upon global oil and LNG expertise and experience. Under the shareholding structure of Sakhalin Energy, Gazprom holds 50% plus 1 share, Shell 27.5%, Mitsui 12.5% and Mitsubishi 10%.

Reporting line: Production Director
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Own the development of the Operational Excellence philosophy of the Company; ensure Operational Excellence journey maintains healthy momentum, flag issues on time with senior management and help to work on solutions to unblock initiatives where needed; •Co-ordinate the Operational Excellence Steering Committee and ensure it is used effectively; •Work closely with and support focal points in different Directorates on their Operational Excellence journey, and ensure cross departmental learnings from Operational Excellence initiatives; •Pro-actively work to identify and lead waste reduction activities and other Operational Excellence & Business Improvement programs and projects across the Company; •Provide facilitation to the business on demand, for example on Lean projects and simplification initiatives (ESSA); •Keep the Committee of Executive Directors and the Extended Leadership Team updated on all issues of Operational Excellence; •Ensure strong and consistent link between the targets set in the area of Operational Excellence with targets in other areas of the Company (eg WP&B, Journey Book); •Ensure that the company AI-PS agenda is taken into account as part of the journey to Operational Excellence, and ensure alignment of activities; •Ensure communication around Operational Excellence is co-ordinated effectively throughout the Company; •Support communication with major stakeholders (eg shareholders) around the impact of the Operational Excellence journey on the performance of the company in terms of operational KPIs and costs; •Maintain Lean capacity building programme, creating a blend of training options; ensure feedback from the business is a key driver in the programme formats. Ensure appropriate training of staff in the areas of Operational Excellence, Lean / Six Sigma; •Ensure external resources are being contracted as appropriate, for facilitation, training and project work around Operational Excellence. Experience and Qualifications required: •Experienced Change Manager; •Proven ability to maximize Business Opportunities; •Excellent Project Management and Business Improvement skills; •Strong ability to think through and analyse processes grounded on business process re-engineering experience; •Strong commercial mentality and creativity; •Previous exposure to oil & gas business is preferred.
